AxFlow UK is to take on the distribution of the Slack and Parr range of industrial external gear pumps for the UK market

Located in Kegworth, Derbyshire, Slack and Parr manufactures high pressure geared metering pumps for operating on the most arduous chemical applications The company has a renowned reputation in the 'man made' fibres industry and exports its multi-spindle extrusion gear pumps throughout the world for use on fibre spinning machines

Announcing the decision to distribute Slack and Parr gear pumps in the UK, AxFlow managing director Tony Peters said that AxFlow would be targeting fluid handling and metering problems in the chemical, petro-chemical and coatings industries.

"Slack and Parr is an internationally respected company and although much of its output is for the export market, we aim to reverse that trend by taking the share of the UK gear pump market that Slack and Parr deserves" comments Tony Peters: "Within the processing industries applications ranging from oils to paints, cosmetics to adhesives can all be accurately metered either using one of the Slack and Parr off the shelf industrial pumps or using a solution specifically designed for the application.

For these industry sectors, the choice of material is critical to ensuring accurate metering in corrosive and extreme environments.

As well as using hardened tool steel and stainless steel for critical components, Slack and Parr has also found that Zirconia ceramic has been especially successful in the most severe operating conditions". Request free introductory details about products from AxFlow ...
