Routeco to distribute Baldor industrial motors

As a new nationwide distributor in the UK for Baldor industrial IEC motor product lines, Routeco will focus on automation and energy efficiency applications

Baldor has signed Routeco as its nationwide distributor in the UK for industrial motor products.

Routeco will focus on Baldor's industrial IEC motor product lines, which are a natural complement to the distributor's existing franchises in areas such as motor control and drives.

"Our long-established involvement in selling industrial automation and control products generates a lot of enquiries for industrial motors.

Baldor's extensive AC and DC motor range is a great fit with these items, allowing us to provide complete solutions", says Tony Usher, Routeco Marketing Director.

"With energy prices rising fast, we are also beginning to see substantial enquiries for higher efficiency motors - an area in which Baldor excels.

We can now offer some uniquely attractive technology to our customer base".

The distribution agreement covers the whole of the UK, and is the first of its type for Baldor, who previously sold either directly or via specialised regional distributors and system builders.

Its range includes probably the most extensive selection of special-purpose motors available worldwide, with options for virtually every industrial application category including severe and chemical duty, washdown, explosion proof, as well as motors with a choice of totally enclosed fan cooled, open drip proof or weather proof enclosures.

High efficiency motors are a particular speciality, and the company has a history of innovation in this area.

Routeco is an independent company, with 20 regional offices and over 200 personnel in the UK.
