Wintershall trusts in BASF IT Services
BASF IT Services has been providing additional IT services to Wintershall Holding AG in Kassel, Germany
All SAP systems, the Lotus Notes mail systems as well as the intranet platform of the largest German oil and gas producer are now operated and supported by BASF IT Services A total of twelve SAP systems for 1000 users worldwide are now managed by the IT service provider

The e-mail operations BASF IT Services took on comprise 2500 mailboxes worldwide, which are hosted on 43 servers.
In January 2006 Wintershall Holding had already outsourced part of its IT activities to BASF IT Services.
These included infrastructure services, computing centre operations, IT security as well as the support of 1,200 PC users at all German locations by the BASF IT Services Customer Service Center (CSC).
The decisive reason for this further extension of services was the high security of supply the IT service provider offers.
As one of the leading IT providers in the European process industry BASF IT Services cannot not only guarantee very high fail safety but also 24/7 system management.
