Another first for Bartec with ATEX for Zone 21
Bartec, known for hazardous area products and systems, has become the first supplier to be awarded the EU Type test certificate for dust tight standard enclosures in a Zone 21 environment!
Display unit brings control to Zone 1
Designed and certified to conform to PTB 00 ATEX 1003, the Remote Station 18.1in enables the user to use any process control system within Ex areas.
Developed for use in Zones 1 and 21 these graphics capable colour displays, with state-of-the-art TFT technology, allows the operator greater flexibility to enjoy an extremely wide viewing angle.
The BAT 300 comes with a 5.5" and the BAT 800 with a 12" display and features a unique, Ex high visibility screen brightness, of up to 400cd/m2.
The modular interface technology enables uninterrupted communication for different bus concepts into the Ex areas Zones 1 and 21.
The direct, serial communication from either a superior control station or a PLC can be accessed just as easily.
When it comes to speed, the new BAT300/800 terminals remain true to their range by allowing instant access by means of a direct link to the Ex areas and without the need for additional intrinsically safe separator cards, costs are clearly reduced as intrinsically safe branch circuits are no longer necessary.
There is no doubt that having process control visualisation on-site, supplied via bright and flexible operator terminals, results in more efficient process management.
Therefore we have adapted the system to accept the internationally recognised BMS Graf pro software tool which allows operator-prompted programming of all BAT terminals; and when you also include the ability to connect any of the range of Bartec's hand held scanners, directly to the terminal, we really have 'put the icing on the cake'!.
