Bartec, known for hazardous area products and systems, has become the first supplier to be awarded the EU Type test certificate for dust tight standard enclosures in a Zone 21 environment!
The Bartec Remote Station 18.1 is an LCD display with international keyboard and mouse, which can be installed within an Ex area, zone 1.
It is connected as a second monitor to a PC workstation in the safe area, via easily installed electronic components, connected to each other by a 4 - pair STP (shielded twisted pair) cable, that can be up to 200m in length.
The screen itself is an 18.1" TFT display unit that is characterised by its high definition and extremely large viewing angle.
Both the display, as well as the fully integrated internal electrical system is explosion protected by means of a flameproof enclosure.
The MF -11 keyboard with PS/2 mouse, comply with Ex protection type 'intrinsically safe' as the system barriers are also located within a flameproof enclosure.
