NEW range of Fieldbus displays launched

A Beka associates product story

As a leading UK manufacturer of a wide range of ATEX approved display instruments, most especially for use in hazardous areas, these new fieldbus displays augment the recent BEKA serial indicators

BEKA Associates Ltd present a new range of fieldbus displays at the Instrumentation Scotland and Offshore Systems Exhibition at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on 8th and 9th September 2004.

As a leading UK manufacturer of a wide range of ATEX approved display instruments, most especially for use in hazardous areas, these new fieldbus displays augment the recently introduced BEKA serial indicators and are available in the same robust field and panel mounting enclosures to provide the widest possible range of solutions.

Both Profibus and Foundation Fieldbus protocols are supported with these new devices, which offer a permanently back-lit LCD display in a range of user-selectable configurations.

They are two- wire devices powered from the Fieldbus segment and offer the benefit of displaying any variable (and its associated tag and unit information) from any device connected to the same or other coupled segment.

Hence the benefits normally associated with conventional loop-powered display can migrate to these more sophisticated networks, allowing operator intervention and interrogation away from the control room.

With ATEX and ATEX Fisco approvals pending, these products complement the well-established BEKA display ranges, including 4/20mA loop-powered indicators, rate totalisers, batch controllers and associated instrumentation such as sounders and beacons.
