Caring for your Bekomat condensate drain
It is widely accepted that the Bekomat condensate drain from Beko Technologies is the world's most reliable condensate drain: so why do you need 'Beko Service Direct' to look after it?
It was proposed by Beko that each of the existing refrigerated dryers in their compressor house would be fitted with a Bekomat condensate drain on each existing outlet to replace the existing timed solenoid drains.
There were also two air receivers in the compressor house on which we proposed the fitting of Bekomat condensate drains.
The Bekomat drain utilises a capacitive sensor to measure the level of condensate inside the bowl and a plunger operated pilot line.
Once the level of condensate reaches a point on the capacitive sensor, a signal is sent to the soleniod valve which then operates the plunger and closes the pilot line.
This enables the pressure in the bowl to force the condensate out through the discharge port.
The electronic system of the Bekomat then calculates the discharge rate down to the minimum point on the sensor and determines the exact opening time required.
This means that the valve will again be fully closed before any compressed air can escape.
The benefits of this are that there is no energy wastage in the form of expensive compressed air, and no noise from escaping air occurs during operation.
Beko supplied Barr Soft Drinks with Bekomat 13 CO PN50 zero loss condensate drains, these units are hardcoated, to protect against oil/ free or aggressive condensate and rated at 50 bar in order to withstand the high system pressure.
These drains also feature potential free alarm systems for remote alert should there be a failure.
