Beko establishes new manufacturing plant in India

A Beko Technologies product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team May 15, 2008

In February, the new manufacturing plant of the Beko Group, which also acts as the headquarters of the Indian branch office, was inaugurated in Hyderbad

With its completion after nearly one and a half years of planning and construction time, India becomes the third country with a Beko manufacturing plant, after Germany and the USA.

In the presence of the new Beko management, Monique Abeels-Koch, Manfred Lehner and Werner Koslowski, celebrations were held with approximately 100 guests from the world of business and politics, with customers, suppliers, employees and the media.

Following an Indian custom for such events, the new Beko management planted trees.

A memorial plaque was unveiled in honour of Bethold Koch, the founder of the company who passed away last Autumn.

The local Indian television station as well as the business press gave a detailed report on the festivities.

Eric Purushotham, the manager of Beko India is happy about the new possibilities: "First the new manufacturing plant will produce exclusively for the Indian market.

In this respect, we will focus on normal and high-pressure adsorption dryers, CNG filters, stainless steel high-pressure filters, as well as on high-pressure shipping bottles for gases.

We see a great many application possibilities for these products here.

As far as production is concerned, the compliance with the strict Beko quality guidelines is made a top priority.

For this purpose, employees were trained extensively in recent months in the Beko central office in Neuss, Germany.

In the medium term, the other Asian Beko branch offices will also be supplied".

This step firmly establishes Beko Technologies as a truly global player in the compressed air market.
