The efficient use of light in insect exterminators
In recent years, the sensitivity of insects to different wavelengths of light has been the subject of extensive research: many modern exterminator units now produce both ultraviolet and green light
Insect exterminators for explosive or dusty areas
The Insectron insect exterminators from Berson have been granted ATEX approval for use in explosive, dusty and wet environments, the first electronic insect exterminator to be awarded this approval
From its inception the Insectron range has combined the highest built quality with far-sighted innovation.
As a result, Berson has been able to anticipate new developments, such as the introduction of HACCP, and been ready with new Insectron technology to meet industry's changing needs.
A key factor in the Insectron evolution is continuous research, which is carried out in collaboration with universities, research institutes and industry.
Insectron has a number of unique options not offered by other manufacturers of insect-catching devices.
One of these is the Powertrap, a catch mechanism which prevents dead insects from falling out of the collection tray during cleaning.
While mounted, the Powertrap is constantly open so that killed insects fall into the collection tray.
When the tray needs emptying it must be dismounted; when this is done the Powertrap automatically closes, so preventing any dead insects from falling out.
It is designed to fit every Insectron model equipped with a high-tension grid.
The Insectron EX range has been granted ATEX approval for use in explosive, dusty and wet environments.
It has ingress protection to IP65 and is suitable for areas where water is sprayed or where large quantities of dust or powder could cause explosions if a high tension grid were used.
The Insectron EX range is supplied with a certificate from KEMA, the internationally recognised certifying body, which is a member of the European Network for Quality System Assessment and Certification (EQNET).
The Insectron range is designed, manufactured and distributed at the Berson state-of-the-art facility in the Netherlands.
