The efficient use of light in insect exterminators
In recent years, the sensitivity of insects to different wavelengths of light has been the subject of extensive research: many modern exterminator units now produce both ultraviolet and green light
Most insect exterminator manufacturers use plastic sleeves which stick permanently to a lamp surface to protect it.
However, when the lamps need replacing, the sleeves have to be discarded as well.
Re-usable protection sleeves can be used again and again, for up to four years, saving Insectron users money.
The sleeves, which are very easy to fit and remove, have a transparency of 99% for UV-A lamps and 100% for green lamps (both these types of lamps are commonly used in Insectrons).
They can be used with the entire Insectron range, including the IP65/ATEX-certified units.
For more information please visit the Insectron website.
* TeflonFEP is a fluoropolymer that offers extreme heat, chemical and corrosion resistance.
