"Providing this level of accountability is a first in the labeling industry," noted Chris Hamlin, Managing Director for B and H Labeling Systems.
"A recent PMMI survey reported that packagers are focused on improving efficiencies -- it's a top concern -- so we developed Productivity Monitoring.
With this feature, we aim to deliver the lowest cost of ownership over the life of the labeler and achieve the highest degree of customer satisfaction".
B and H Productivity Monitoring tracks labeler productivity and product scrap by container type, shift, day, week and month.
In addition, the system identifies the sources of machine downtime and plots trends for specific variables over user-selected time-periods.
Armed with this valuable feedback on the labeling operation, packagers can institute operational changes to improve productivity and efficiency by increasing uptime.
With Productivity Monitoring, real-time and historical data can be displayed at the Operator Control Panel, and if a printer is connected, hardcopies of the reports can be generated.
Additionally, the labeler can be networked to a plant-wide host computer to provide data and reports to remote locations.
Productivity Monitoring provides an invaluable tool to the packaging manufacturer for enhancing the reliability/uptime of their labeling operation.
B and H offers a variety of robust roll-fed labeling systems, including the patented Endura shrink labeling process, to meet a range of production requirements from moderate to high capacities.
Each B and H labeler is designed for low maintenance labeling, featuring a heavy-duty gear arrangement, precise cutting system and accurate glue application system.
