The programme with integral booking form for the British Stainless Steel Association [BSSA] forthcoming Conference and Dinner (on Thursday 17 November 2005) is now available.

The venue is the Stratford Manor Hotel near Stratford-upon-Avon.

Sponsored by Outokumpu, Acerinox, Ugine and ALZ and ThyssenKrupp Stainless, the Conference, entitled 'Stainless Steel - Converting Opportunities Into Reality', will highlight the market issues and development opportunities for stainless across a host of important industries.

Keynote speakers include Martin Temple CBE, Director General of the EEF, 'the manufacturer's organisation' who will discuss the challenges facing UK manufacturing, and Dr Staffan Malm, Secretary General of the International Stainless Steel Forum [ISSF], the global forum for the stainless industries, whose members represent over 80% of the world's stainless steel production.

Dr Malm will outline the latest market development initiatives from the ISSF, aimed at increasing profitability in the market.

John MacDougall, the Corporate Supply Manager of Franke's Kitchen Systems Division, will identify from a manufacturer's perspective, the challenges presented to his Company through the supply chain - from raw materials to end consumers.

He will illustrate how it is overcoming these, enabling Franke to maintain its position in the market.

The inclusive delegate fee for the full day, which includes a special Conference Dinner, at which Alan Ball MBE, a member of the England 1966 World Cup winning side will be guest speaker, is GBP250 + VAT [GBP200 for BSSA members].

There is an early bird discount of GBP25 per delegate for Conference only, or combined Conference/Dinner, if bookings are made before 30 September.
