With today's increasingly high emphasis on performance and quality Blackwater have a specific range of products designed to meet the stringent standards set by the Food Industry.
The company's product range falls under three categories: Process Vessels and Silos, Road Tankers for milk collection and Storage silos and conveying systems for dairy powders and sugars.
Blackwater sees its future in specialising in high quality, high value products.
Over the next years the company plans to increase its sales and marketing drive, in specialised food processing vessels, especially for chocolate and yoghurt.
Blackwater is one of the few companies in Europe who can supply yoghurt-processing vessels up to 20,000L.
This is achieved by specialised water-cooled agitation for mixing and thermal plate technology for heating and cooling.
Both processes guarantee top product quality.
Similarly for the chocolate industry, the capacities of processing vessels reach 40,000kgs.
Because of the lightweight nature of our thermal plate design, a 20,000kg Blackwater vessel weights 2.5 tonnes in contrast to 10T on a traditional design.
This makes it extremely attractive for multi storey processing, and gives all the advantages of energy saving.
A testament to Blackwater's engineering and design is the array of projects evident in everyday food processing, ranging from liquid storage silos in all the major dairies and food companies in Ireland and the UK, to milk collection tankers on the national roads, to sugar sachets packed using Blackwater's bulk storage system.
Blackwater is happy to maintain its niche in specialised food processing and will continue to supply the major food companies as they grow with the newly expanded European market.
