In 2006 Bosch Rexroth increased sales by 7.1%, to more than 4.9B Euro, when compared with the year before Thus, sales of the drive and control specialist rose the fourth time in succession

The order intake in 2006 reached about 5.5B Euro.

Within the same period, the company increased its workforce by about six per cent to more than 29,800.

For 2007 Bosch Rexroth expects a further, remarkable growth in sales.

"For the business year 2007 Bosch Rexroth expects organic growth, at least at previous year's level", said Manfred Grundke, Chairman of the Executive Board of Bosch Rexroth, on the occasion of the annual press conference in Frankfurt.

He referred to the significantly higher number of orders received at the beginning of the year 2007.

"We assume that this trend will continue and we are preparing ourselves for this promising future by expanding our capacities and implementing numerous innovations".

In the business year 2006 Bosch Rexroth increased sales by about seven per cent.

In the rest of Europe, the supplier of all drive and control solutions in the field of factory automation and mobile machinery achieved an even stronger growth of nine per cent.

The company translated the high dynamics of the markets in Middle and Eastern Europe into a growth of 16 per cent.

In Asia, Bosch Rexroth boosted sales by 14 per cent.

Here, China ranked first with a surge of 33 per cent, whereas in North and South America sales slightly declined in a difficult economic environment.

Worldwide, Bosch Rexroth has achieved a growth of about 1.3 billion Euro since 2002 almost exclusively under its own steam.

This corresponds to a plus in sales of 36 per cent.

In total, Bosch Rexroth increased the number of employees worldwide by over 1,500 to more than 29,800.

This can partially be traced back to the fact that additional production capacities were put into operation in Asia as well as Middle and Eastern Europe.

In Germany, the company created 743 new jobs and now employs a workforce of about 16,100 in the country.

In 2006 Bosch Rexroth invested 235 million Euro in fixed assets, especially in additional production capacities in Middle and Eastern Europe, Asia and America, as well as in measures to improve efficiency in Germany.

The company increased its expenditure for research and development by 14 per cent to 220 million Euro.

With 4.5 per cent of sales in 2006 it was above the industry average like in the years before.

Being a leading supplier for wind energy turbines, Bosch Rexroth participates directly in the worldwide boom in renewable energies.

In this growth sector the company boosted sales by almost two thirds to about 120 million Euro in 2006.

The demand for systems for the generation of renewable power will continue to rise, in particular in Asia and America.

Beyond wind energy, Bosch Rexroth is developing drives and gearboxes for sea power systems in close cooperation with system manufacturers.

This technology utilises flow and waves for the generation of electricity.

It is still at the beginnings of its development, but will open up an outstanding potential for a greater market share of renewable energies worldwide. Request free introductory details about products from Bosch Rexroth ...
