Wash down valve terminal for tough environments

A Bosch Rexroth product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jun 22, 2007

The CL03 Clean Line valve, a pneumatic valve terminal system from Bosch Rexroth, has been developed for wash-down applications

The product features hygienic design, offers a high level of protection and is especially suited to the food processing and packaging sectors.

Specifically designed to handle high-pressure wash-down applications (up to 100bar/1450psi), the Clean Line system has a protection class rating of IP69K.

The protective covers eliminate the need to mount the valve manifolds in a cabinet and enable them to be mounted closer to the actuators, reducing cycle time.

Additionally, with wash-down environments in mind, the gaps between the valve protection covers allow for ease of cleaning and prevent pockets of dirt building up.

The materials used for the CL03, such as the plastic used for the sub-bases and covers, mean that the product has the ability to withstand aggressive detergents and chemicals.

It also offers a high degree of modularity and flexibility, again making it particularly appropriate for food processing and packaging applications.

The CL03 consists of individual sub-bases.

Because each sub-base has its own internal wiring, the system can be expanded up to 16 valves in single valve increments.

Since each valve can be individually supplied with two different pressures, one valve system can handle up to 32 different pressures, enabling optimal pressure to be used for each actuator.
