Continuous level measurement even for
Ketchup
A new method for continuous level measurement from Bourdon Haenni, the manufacturer of high technology industrial instrumentation, uses potentiometric principles and even works on Ketchup!
The LSP 050 level transmitter uses the potentiometric measurement principle to continuously measure the level of any electrically conductive medium having a minimum conductivity of 1 microS/cm Because of the unique electronic design, this transmitter is especially suitable for the measurement of tough, pasty or strongly adhesive media, such as tomato ketchup, and is unaffected by head pressures up to 10bar

Fast response Modbus pressure transmitter
A specially developed Modbus pressure transmitter, the Baumer EC6, is unique in having an extremely fast response time of only 1msec
Manufactured in stainless steel and PEEK, the LSP 050 has been designed specifically for the food and beverage industries where high levels of cleanliness including Cleaning In Place (CIP) and Sterilisation In Place (SIP) are common; the LSP 050 can withstand temperatures of up to 140C.
It is also ideal for any other continuous level measurement application.
The LSP 050 is the first continuous level probe that uses the potentiometric principle to give measurements that are independent of the media including conductivity, specific gravity and its physical properties such as foaming and adhesion.
This unique device gives excellent long-term stability, high reproducibility and as well as the industry standard 4-20mA signal, also gives a defined 'empty tank signal' of 2.4mA which can be utilised directly by PLC or PLS systems.
Physical characteristics are a temperature range of -20 to 140C, a maximum pressure of 10bar (enabling it to be used in pressurised tanks), and an IP67 environmental protection rating.
The LSP 050 is one of a range of new level products from Bourdon-Haenni including the LSM 'Microfant' Level/Limit Switch utilising unique electromagnetic run-time technology, the LSK Conductive Level Switch and the ISL Conductivity Measurement Transmitter.
