Pipe system ensures best hygiene in food use
The Bourdon-Haenni "In-Line" system of hygienic pipes with integrated unions are a range of high performance pipes specially engineered for use where hygiene and ease of cleaning are important.
Due to the 3A-approved process connection, the device is suitable for hygienic applications.
The liquid flowing through a channel bore in the measuring head acts as the core in a transformer.
Power is supplied to the primary coil on one side of the bore, whereas the induced output current of the secondary coil is measured on the other side of the bore.
The conductivity of a medium is directly proportional to the output current level and temperature-dependant.
An accurate temperature measurement is made and used to compensate for the temperature of the media.
Due to its precise, configurable temperature compensation and remote setting of the four pre-configured measuring ranges, the ISL is ideal for a wide range of conductivity measurement.
The ISL05x has a 4 to 20mA output for conductivity as well as temperature.
It measures a process temperature from -20 up to 130C.
The high operating temperature limit allows the installation also in SIP systems.
The sensor is insensitive to polarisation, adhesion and solids.
The integrated display for mS/cm and degrees C offers an instant readout locally, which is an advantage especially in manually operated cleaning systems.
Due to the optimised flow geometry and the fast response time, the ISL is suitable also in applications where separation of media and measurements of cleaning agents in CIP equipment is required.
The accuracy is excellent even at very low conductivity and flow rates.
