BHR Fluid Sealing Conference call for papers
The 1996 Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Directive from the EC requires designated industrial installations to be fully compliant and authorised by permit to operate by 30 October 2007
The practical content is aimed to help manufacturers and operators who are becoming aware of the need to build in reliability at the design stage as the cost and safety implications to industry of seal failures is totally out of proportion to the component cost.
Participants have access to experience and research in sealing and containment technology developed over 25 years and are encouraged to discuss their own design problems.
Sealing and containment technology is one of the cornerstones of expertise at the Fluid Engineering Centre, the BHR Group headquarters at Cranfield.
For more than 25 years, BHR Group has run variations on this short course as a broad based introduction to the subject.
The next course, specifically on elastomer and plastic seals, will be held at Cranfield on 15th March 2005, followed by an optional half day on gaskets on 16th March.
