EL-Press digital pressure controller
The modern digital approach to fluid pressure regulation, for laboratory use, Hazardous Area (ATEX) or process control via Profibus, DeviceNet, RS232 or RS485 digital communication is the EL-Press DPC
Recent University based research into the application of supercritical CO2 has used an EL-Press digital electronic pressure controller over the range of 0-400 bar.
Using the EL-Press controller, the researchers can adjust the pressure ramp-up speed, hold the pressure over time, and then adjust the pressure ramp-down speed, all factors which can modify the properties of the supercritical fluid processes.
In this University application, the EL-Press unit is controlled using FLOW-BUS digital communication interface, from a PC, which also records the pressure profile data using Freeware.
