Extended life tank vent dryers for
stored liquids

The X-TVD from Brownell is an extended life Tank Vent Dryer which prevents high humidity air being sucked into the tank ullage space as discharge causes the level to drop

The X-TVD from Brownell is an extended life Tank Vent Dryer which has a user adjustable atmospheric air bypass control Many industrial fluids and materials are sensitive to contamination by condensation and high humidity

When a holding tank experiences discharge demand partially releasing some of its fluid content then air is drawn in through the atmospheric vent to replace the displaced fluid.

If the air being drawn into the tank contains moisture this can result in condensation occurring which leads to contamination and loss of fluid properties.

In sub zero temperatures the water may freeze blocking pipelines and valves.

Using a Tank Vent Dryer to remove moisture from the incoming air helps prevent these problems and protects the fluid properties.

The bypass control allows a mixture of dry and atmospheric air to enter the air space above the tank at a controlled relative humidity which protects the hygroscopic fluids in the tank or reservoir from being contaminated with condensation and high humidity.

A conventional Tank Vent Dryer without a bypass is ideally suited to long-term, slow discharge rate applications.

The extended life Tank Vent Dryer range can double the adsorbent life for applications when the discharge in refilling of a tank occurs within weeks or months due to high demand and usage.

Tanks with a fluid capacity of 500,000 litres can be protected with a Tank Vent Dryer.

An integral sight window provides users with a visual indicator to signal when the desiccant requires reactivation or replacement.

A simple adaptor also prevents the release of unwanted vapours into the atmosphere.

Tank Vent Dryers can be used to protect sulphuric acid, heat transfer fluids, solvents, printing chemicals, transformer oil, hydraulic fluids and polyurethane products. Request a free brochure from Brownell ...
