The move also recognizes the growing number of Brammer multi-national customers wanting a single source supplier with common products, operations and services across all their European sites, whilst maintaining the benefits of a local presence and relationships.
All Brammer customers can benefit from access to its 2.5 million part inventory across the whole group to help ensure and maintain supply.
This means that if the local branch or national distribution centre does not have a part, it can be sourced quickly from one of its 11 European distribution centres and delivered 365/24/7.
Brammer also provides proactive help to customers in relation to their parts usage and MRO needs, by running equipment and energy surveys, on-site inventory management, and through suggesting improvements to part usage.
It also helps customers reduce acquisition costs, provides technical support and expertise, trains customers' own people, and places Brammer people into customer sites.
Ian Ritchie, managing director of Brammer in the UK, where it has a national network of 82 Sales and Service Centres, said: "Being one company across Europe means considerable economies of scale for our customers.
Being one of the largest customers for MRO products in Europe gives us considerable advantages when it comes to supplying parts and getting support from manufacturers.
We can also pass on service levels, expertise and price advantages to customers, and being Brammer across Europe means we can do this even more effectively, and play an even bigger part in the future success of our customers".
There are more than 800 Brammer employees in the UK, and its products include bearings, mechanical power transmission products (including gearboxes and motors), pneumatics, hydraulics, seals, industrial automation as well as a complete range of tools, maintenance and health and safety products.
It is an authorised distributor for many of the world's leading brands including SKF, NSK, Renold, Gates, Flender, Siemens, SMC, Norgren, Rocol Loctite and Schaeffler UK.
