Free consultation on dust and fume extraction
BuckHickman InOne has teamed up with Nederman UK to offer a free on site consultation service for dust and fume extraction, covering hazard analysis, and possible extraction or filtration solutions
BuckHickman InOne has teamed up with Nederman UK to offer a free on site consultation service for dust and fume extraction.
Vince McParland from BuckHickman InOne commented: "Prolonged exposure to dust and fumes can cause allergic reactions and serious illnesses, ranging from asthma to cancer.
Every business must monitor the levels of dust and fumes that their employees are exposed to.
You must make sure that adequate ventilation or extraction systems are in place and well maintained.
It is no longer enough to open a few doors and hope for the best.
Businesses cannot afford to have staff taking time off as a result of ill health, yet alone the threat of compensation claims.
A full time welder, for instance, can collect up to 21g of particulate residue on their lungs per year".
Nederman UK advises that new ATEX regulations have raised everyone's awareness of the danger of explosion from certain dusts and fumes.
The reality is, however, that all exposure to dust and fumes must be minimised under COSHH legislation, whether it is explosive or not.
The free consultation offered by BuckHickman InOne and Nederman UK will cover hazard analysis, a proposed extraction solution and advice about the possible filtration of the hazard.
Nederman offer fully engineered solutions covering a complete range of applications from simple systems to fully approved ATEX rated extraction systems.
