Flow rate indicator replaces Rotameters

The new Burkert versatile paddle-wheel flow-rate indicator Type 8034 offers a modern replacement for old-fashioned and outdated Rotameter flow indicators

Burkert Fluid Control Systems offers a versatile paddle-wheel flow-rate indicator (Type 8034) as a modern replacement for old-fashioned and outdated Rotameters Commenting, the Burkert industry applications manager Neil Saunders says the 8034 has all the features engineers need for today's advanced processing systems

Advantages include vertical and horizontal mounting to simplify piping; a choice of materials to allow a wider range of fluids; an easy to read meter with remote option; large digital and analogue displays; maintenance-free so no down-time; suitable for coloured or non-clear liquids; no UV penetration, so reducing algae growth; negligible pressure drop; no interruption of flow for maintenance or later upgrades; reduced inventory as paddle wheel is the only variable; no glass to clean.

The 8034 is specially designed for use with neutral and slightly aggressive, solid-free liquids and is easy to fit, easy to read, easy to maintain and easy to stock.

It is available in compact, panel or wall mount versions and can measure flow rates up to 75 m3/h (increasing to 500 m3/h with insertion option).

Typical applications are widespread throughout the water treatment, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, medical and fine chemical industries.
