Ultrasonic flowmeter is OIML approved
The Caldon LEFM multi-path ultrasonic transit time flowmeter has been developed for custody transfer applications in the petroleum industry.
Tests overseen by Caldon Europe have resulted in the granting of OIML R117 certification for the LEFM 240C meter, bringing proven Caldon transit time technology to the oil industry Using a full bore spool piece, the Caldon LEFM240C has four chordal paths, for accurate and stable flow measurement

See the world's largest mass flow meter with Able
Able will be exhibiting at the largest oil and gas industry sector exhibition, Offshore Europe 2003, with the largest ever mass flow meter: see it in Aberdeen for 4 days from 2-5 September 2003
Currently available for line sizes from 4 to 36in, the meter is also bi-directional, and presents no obstruction or venturi pressure drop in the flowline.
Automatic speed of sound monitoring ensures the performance is maintained independent of fluid temperature variations, and independent of viscosity or density changes in the oil product monitored.
Information on these parameters can be used for monitoring changes to the product in the line, and for interface monitoring in multi-product lines.
Further testing of Caldon multi-path fiscal metering systems is being undertaken at NEL, where a collaborative user group project sponsored by Amerada Hess, ChevronTexaco and TotalFinaElf, among others, is evaluating the meter for future fiscal measurement applications.
