Now that CPS has direct control over the business we will have a greater ability to provide all our services in-house which is what we know our customers prefer".
"In the past certain tanks and vessels have had to be out-sourced but the latest moves mean that with all the UK output capable of being supplied from Sherborne, the company can offer customers added security of supply".
''The Walker name will continue to be used and customers can now be assured of common standards across the whole tank range,'' said Mr Todd.
''We have had plans in place for some time to work towards our goal of greater in-house integration to ensure every critical component of our systems is under our direct control.
The bringing on board of the Walker Organisation, an old established company and one which is widely respected, adds yet another piece to the jigsaw and is part of our wider business strategy to bring further improvements to the CPS level and quality of service".
The group includes names like Damrow, the Denmark-based world famous cheesemaking equipment specialists, Stork Friesland, Scheffers, Scherping, Bontech and Extract Technology.
The head of the Walker Group, Brad Walker, echoed Mr Todd's delight at the coming together of the two organisations.
''The similarities between CPS and Walker, including common materials, processes and customers, will provide advantages to the combined organisation that will strengthen its competitive position,'' he said.
