New membrane filtration systems for dairy industry
Carlisle Process Systems has signed an exclusive deal with DSS Silkeborg AS, to distribute new state-of-the-art membrane filtration systems into the UK dairy industry
Capable of pasteurising 1,000 litres per hour, the CPS unit replaces a less efficient unit and utilises regeneration heating, which provides the dairy with ongoing energy cost savings, as well as offering all the benefits of current technology.
Skid mounted, the new pasteuriser will be used to heat treat milk for all the products produced by the forward looking company and will ensure it complies with all the latest hygiene requirements as well as bringing much improved efficiencies through higher volume output.
Riverford Farm Dairies, managing director Tony Gibson, who is also a part owner of the business along with two other shareholders says the company looked at a number of different suppliers before picking CPS.
Mr Gibson explains: "The old machine was proving problematic due to its high energy costs to operate.
We therefore decided to look around for a more cost effective solution.
Our aim was to find a supplier who could provide best value rather than being the cheapest on the market.
Whilst it is easy to say best value, most of the other suppliers were really struggling to offer a small compact unit, primarily because it was on the very edge of their product range.
In contrast CPS has a very comprehensive range and could therefore offer us a machine that met our precise requirements.
The service from CPS has been very good, the company has proved very attentive and has always come back with quick responses both written and verbal.
Although the unit has not yet been delivered, we would have no problem recommending CPS to other businesses similar to our own", Mr Gibson adds.
