Safety specialist Castell Iso-Lok has introduced a new range of lockable metal storage cabinets for key and padlock management.

These flexible, secure storage facilities are available in standard sizes or can be made to order.

The clear fronted cabinets come with single or double layers, and provide organised storage space for up to 140 padlocks, keys and Multi-Clasps.

Personal isolation padlocks are at the heart of safety locking-off procedures.

To avoid unauthorised removal each padlock should have only one corresponding key, and no duplicates should exist.

A good key management system and storage facility is therefore essential for safety, security and workplace efficiency.

However, a desk drawer full of unidentified locks and keys is all too common.

The storage cabinets from Castell Iso-Lok make it easy to organise personal padlocks and their accompanying keys.

Each hook within the cabinet can be labelled with a name or a unique alpha-numeric identification code.

When beginning a task, personnel can easily identify their particular padlock and key.

They can also simply return their padlock and key to the correct hook at the end of each task.

The cabinets' clear fronts enable anyone to confirm, at a glance, which of the padlocks have currently been issued, even when the cabinet is locked shut.

To provide extra storage space within the larger cabinets, a second set of hooks for padlocks can be provided behind a hinged, lockable, internal panel.
