Crane Process Flow Technologies (CPFT), has introduced the Saunders HC4 Opti-SET switchbox.

Designed to provide users with a simple to install, easy to monitor and reliable unit, the HC4 Opti-SET automatically sets against the stroke of the actuator, significantly reducing installation cost and validation time.

Once the switchbox is assembled, using a simple bayonet motion, it offers a rugged, lightweight device providing a visual indicator of the switch's mode through a polycarbonate shroud on the switch cover.

The design also eliminates ingress of contaminates.

The substantial weight reduction is achieved through the use of Nylon 66 body construction and efficient design (height 137mm, diameter 75mm) allows the unit to be installed in difficult to reach locations.

"The HC4 Opti-Set switchbox offers customers the ability to position a switch exactly where it is needed due to its lightweight and compact design," says David Birch, Crane's product manager.

"It has been designed following consultation with a number of customers so it accurately meets their needs".

The Saunders HC4 Opti-SET is suitable for Saunders EC and SSC actuators (DN8 to DN50 inclusive): for A and AFP type valves and it is available with a wide range of switch options including the ATEX approved gold contact (M8) microswitch and 2-wire NAMUR (P2) proximity sensors.
