Predictive maintenance halves running
costs
A new method for comparing costs for differing maintenance strategies has shown that by using predictive maintenance massive savings are possible
By calculating the average cost in Euros per kilowatt per year (euro/kW/Yr) it can be shown that a cost of 22euro/kW/yr for responsive maintenance can be reduced to 15euro/kW/yr with planned maintenance and 11euro/kW/yr with predictive maintenance - yes, this is half the cost C-Cubed has made the conversion to predictive maintenance cheaper and easier with Pocket VibrA V6

Portable vibration analyser with low cost software
C-Cubed is set to make a big impact at MAINTEC 2005 with the launch of Pocket VibrA Pro, its revolutionary low cost and incredibly easy to use portable vibration analyser for condition monitoring.
Pocket VibrA is designed to show up machine faults such as unbalance, misalignment and looseness, and also gives simple and clear indications of bearing quality, based on internationally accepted methods.
Alarms, warnings and normal data are colour-coded for easy viewing and assets can be automatically set up using a simple "wizard".
It is only necessary to tell the wizard the type of asset eg motor, pump or fan, and its running speed, to set up the measurement points and alarm levels.
All data can then be trended using the included FreeTrend software to allow engineers to spot faults before they happen.
