New stainless steel chemical process pump
CDR Pumps, the European market leaders in the manufacture of magnetic drive pumps, have launched their new UCS series of mechanically sealed, metallic chemical process pumps
The design is a 16bar design, with the option of single, double or cartridge mechanical seals.
Units conform to the ATEX100a directive for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and are available in stainless steel or exotic alloys.
The mechanical seal pumps utilise many components already used in the CDR range of magnetic drive pumps, of which CDR Pumps have been manufacturing in excess of 40 years.
The close coupled design offers many advantages over the traditional long coupled design, namely space saving foot print, and also much more compact unit to assist with maintenance.
The need of laser alignment on the traditional baseplate is eliminated.
The series is targeted at small scale processing plants in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as food and beverage, nuclear and engineering contractor markets.
