New seals boost paint systems performance
Ceetak now supply two new compounds specifically designed to meet the needs of industrial paint systems: the Paroflour Quantum perfluor rubber compound; and the Hifluor fluoroelastomer
This enables the Hifluor range to provide the packaging industry with cost effective, adaptable and chemically stable seals that are capable of operating in temperatures from -25 to +260C.
Also on show will be Parker FlexiSeals, a U-Cup shaped lip seal designed to cope with extreme temperatures, ranging from -150deg to +260C.
FlexiSeals combine PTFE with a choice of three energising springs that are available in stainless steel, Elgiloy and Hastelloy.
This enables the seal to maintain permanent flexibility, whatever the operating temperature or media.
Furthermore it can still operate at pressures of up to 800 bar and is suited to a range of movements from static to rotary to helical.
The VR Rotary seal has been especially designed to offer a flexible sealing solution for all applications in pumps and valves.
It can be supplied in a range of different materials, including nitrile rubber, FPM/PTFE elastomers and several viton variations; most importantly, these materials can be specified separately for the front and back components of the seal.
By comparison with conventional mechanical seals, the VR Rotary requires less radial force before it forms a seal and is less likely to suffer from damage or tracking on the shaft, resulting in increased operating life while eliminating the possibility of leakage.
A new rubber gasket custom moulding service: introduced to help customers improve the performance, functionality and reliability of gaskets, the Ceetak custom rubber seal and moulding gasket is a free design and rapid prototyping facility, providing technical advice and practical assistance on issues ranging from the use of the most appropriate materials to the best sealing profiles, compression sets, groove sizes, compression and fill characteristics, and assembly techniques.
The service also improves cost benefits and reduces delivery times as Ceetak can provide high volume production facilities for products manufactured in all common natural and synthetic rubber materials including silicones, NBR, perflouroelastomers and HBNR plus materials for specific applications, such as high and low temperature materials or those with IP water resistant or conductive properties.
This new service extends the already comprehensive range of Ceetak seal products, supporting customers within the packaging industry.
Designed as a result of a significant amount of research and development, the new Ceetak two shot injection moulding service aims to help customers reduce the unit costs of high volume component parts, while significantly improving both quality and, in many applications, delivery times.
The new two part mouldings available from Ceetak can be manufactured from most forms of thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomer compounds and are produced in such a way that tough molecular bonds are formed between the materials, ensuring long term component reliability, while the potential to combine materials enables a variety of different performance characteristics to be built into each part.
