Wide range of high performance polyurethane seals
New grades of polyurethane sealing compounds have wide range of potential applications, including products and systems for the food, water, offshore, chemical and process sectors
Ceetak has launched an extended range of Polyurethane sealing compounds to extend significantly the number of potential applications to include products and systems used in the food, water, offshore, chemical and process sectors.
Specially developed by Parker Worldwide Seal Group, the PDF Ultrathan range of compounds are based on new derivatives of polyurethane compounds, and, unlike conventional polyurethane, the latest high performance seals are compatible with media across the entire pH range.
Improved chemical resistance against hydrolysis in strong alkaline fluids and concentrated acidic solutions means that this new generation of seals maintain their performance characteristics in industrial and process environments especially where alcohol/water and ethylene-glycol/water mixtures are present.
Offering excellent wear resistance, low friction capability and extrusion resistance, the PDF Ultrathan range is available in Shore hardnesses ranging from 80A*5 to 55D*3.
In particular, new variations include the P4300 high temperature compounds that are ideal for use in applications where temperatures can reach 145C for short periods, such as in the engineering and process industries.
Providing outstanding wear resistance and excellent dynamic properties, these compounds are not only excellent for high-temperature hydraulics but are also being widely used as shock absorbing buffers.
The latest P5012 compound has also been designed for high temperature applications as well as automotive, pneumatics and low pressure hydraulics.
This compound offers exceptional hydrolysis resistance and compatibility with central hydraulic fluids, lubricants and biologically degradable media.
Andrew Kownacki, Technical Director at Ceetak explains: "With this extended range of compounds from Parker, Ceetak is now able to offer customers a truly comprehensive range of sealing products for an even wider range of applications than was previously possible.
Once again Parker Worldwide Seal Group has developed new and innovative products that continue to push the boundaries of operating performance and reliability, enabling us to provide our customers with sealing compounds to meet their exact requirements.".
