A Centa Transmissions product story

New special design element allows easy in-situ replacement of the Centa ATEX approved Centaflex-A Series five dimensional flexible power transmission coupling

New special design element "allows easy in-situ replacement of Centa's ATEX Approved Centaflex-a Series five dimensional Coupling.

The Centaflex-A Series flexible power transmission coupling from Centa Transmissions takes flexibility and practicality to the fifth dimension.

Its new special design element allows easy in-situ replacement and whilst Centa couplings have four-way flexibility that easily overcomes torsional, radial, angular or axial misalignment, the ultimate benefit of the Centaflex-A is its unique flexibility, that allows modification to almost any drive configuration.

The simple and compact smooth-face design is ideal for all types of electric motor and diesel engine drive mechanical engineering applications: and with high performance, variable high-speed range capabilities, Centaflex-A is perfect for all types of front PTO drives, particularly stationary and mobile plant such as gen sets, compressors, pumps and marine drives.

There is no need for accurate shaft alignment as the highly flexible, elastic element of the Centaflex-A absorbs all shock and vibration and minimal counter forces on the shafts and bearings mean that the coupling is maintenance free.

It is also ATEX approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

A spokesman for Centa Transmissions said, "High elasticity and flexibility, combined with the new in-situ, easy fitting capability of the Centaflex-A coupling, makes it the first choice solution for all power transmission drive situations that demand quality, top performance, low maintenance and indefatigable reliability.

There are over 11 million Centa mechanical power transmission couplings in service worldwide and this figure increases by a further half million each year.

That is equivalent to one new Centa coupling being installed every minute of every day! To find out how the Centaflex-A series coupling range can benefit your drive strategies, or for information relating to the entire range of Centa couplings for mechanical power transmission drives, call Centa Transmissions now, or visit the website.
