Centriquip, of Clay Cross, has recently achieved success in the 'High Growth Company Support Programme' funded through the East Midlands Development Agency (emda) The company was selected out of over 100 SME (Small to Medium-Sized Enterprises) in the region with companies receiving honours for their potential for further expansion as assessed by a business specialist

Seventeen companies were short-listed from the original applicants to receive sustained support over the next twelve months in addition to that provided by Business Link and other initiatives.

This includes the provision of a dedicated Growth Coach to offer expert advice and to help the company develop specific plans for increased productivity and improved performance.

Mike Carr, the emda Executive Director of Business Services said that he was pleased with the amount of interest in the programme and delighted with the high standard of applications which, he said, clearly demonstrated that the companies in the region were committed to building a competitive edge.

Centriquip is the UK's largest manufacturer of decanter centrifuges: high-value capital equipment used for separating liquids from solids especially in the food and beverage industries, for environmental control in manufacturing and process industries, and as vital technology in the sewage treatment industry.

Richard Montanaro, Centriquip Managing Director, was equally pleased to have his vision for the company acknowledged by an outside agency.

"We have a great product here with a huge potential for sales worldwide.

We don't often hear about how well British Business is doing.

It's wonderful for everyone at Centriquip that expert opinion confirms our optimism for the growth of the company.".
