Bowl centrifuges separate oily sludge
CSG Lanstar, a part of Cleansing Service Group, has recently installed two bowl-type separators from Centriquip to process oily sludge for its industrial customers
Alan has been with Centriquip for over 10 years and has spent much of his time working abroad.
This new appointment is, however, a challenging one for him, with approaching 100 machines spread all over the UK for him and his 6-man team to look after.
"Our job is to plan the maintenance and give 24-hour emergency cover for all Anglian Water machines," Alan explained: "We also take care of all the health and safety issues and perform risk assessments for the customer".
He said that so far it has been plain sailing even though none of the equipment being maintained was originally manufactured by Centriquip.
By taking a traditional approach to maintenance, repairing worn equipment rather than just replacing it, Centriquip can often extend the lifespan of high-value capital equipment and return it to service much faster than is possible through other original equipment manufacturers.
