Polytech, a Cedip Infrared Systems company, has announced that it will show its latest gyrostabilised gimbals for airborne imaging applications at the forthcoming HeliExpo 2006 in Dallas.
Visitors to booth 4325 in Hall B will be able to see live demonstrations of a range of products including the new Cobolt 350 - a high performance multi-sensor gimbal for airborne surveillance.
Measuring only 350mm (13 inches) external diameter and constructed from lightweight high stiffness composite materials, the affordable Cobolt 350 has been designed to operate on almost all airborne carriers and meet the needs of modern law enforcement agencies.
Equipped as standard with state-of-the-art 3-5 micron thermal imagers and high performance colour zoom camera, the EASA certified Cobolt 350 delivers uncompromised image quality irrespective of daylight conditions.
Also on display will be the popular Cobolt 275 - a high performance stabilised gimbal equipped with state of the art electro-optic sensors that has been optimised for civilian airborne surveillance missions including search and rescue, law enforcement and civil surveillance.
Designed around a six-axis stabilisation platform (4 active and 2 passive) the Cobolt 275 provides the highest stabilisation accuracy of any gyrostabilised gimbal.
Technical specialists will be on hand to demonstrate and answer questions on the Pixel - a family of gimbals designed for airborne TV image recording, traffic monitoring, TV news gathering and broadcasting.
Since 1988, Polytech AB has been focused on development and production of innovative camera systems for airborne applications.
Today, Polytech AB offers a comprehensive range of proven products for airborne radiometric applications, ranging from power line inspection to fire mapping and environmental studies.
As the only European provider that can deliver leading-edge, fully installed, integrated and EASA certified systems demand for Polytech systems is growing.
