The Chemineer Greerco Colloid Mill is a highly efficient high shear mixer and processing unit that is designed to rapidly and uniformly disperse solids and/or liquids in the pharmaceutical industry

A high shear mixer from Chemineer has helped one of Europe's main cancer research societies produce a new homeopathic medicine Part of the Chemineer proven range of high shear pipeline mixers and in-tank homogenisers, the Greerco Colloid Mill is a highly efficient processing unit that is designed specifically to rapidly and uniformly disperse solids and/or liquids in the pharmaceutical industry, including antibiotic emulsions, serums, injectable suspensions, serum bases for vaccines and ant acid dispersions

The new medicine has been developed by a company with almost a century of experience in complementary treatments and natural skincare products.

The Greerco Colloid Mill, which produces stable emulsions to the sub micron range, repeatedly reproducing unvarying particle-size accuracy and distribution for any emulsion or suspension - liquids in liquids or solids in liquids.

It is available as a horizontal unit for continuous in-line processing, or as mobile vertical mixer, with hopper for batch production.

Chemineer can, as was the case in this application, custom-build one-off hoppers to meet precise requirements.

Supplied (optional) as Cleaned in Place (CIP) or Sterilised in Place (SIP) for sensitive applications, this comprehensive Chemineer range is fitted with two options of Rotor/Stator combinations.

The standard Rotor Stator is ideal for most emulsions and dispersions, while the special grooved Rotor/Stator is designed for viscous emulsions.

This unit reduces the dispersed phase droplets to an extremely small size - usually 2 microns or less, with many droplets in the sub micron range.
