Quality in the mix

A Chemineer product story

Chemineer has become one of the very first mixing equipment manufacturers to achieve ISO BS EN9001:2000 quality assurance accreditation.

In a market that is increasingly quality conscious, this successful audit by Royal Sun Alliance strengthens Chemineer's position at the forefront of mixer design and manufacture for the many processing industries it serves.

Established over 50 years, the Derby-based company has also met the quality assurance requirements of the PED (Pressure Equipment Directive), which are now a legal requirement throughout the EC for pressure equipment with a design pressure in excess of 0.5bar(g).

Chemineer is now certified to manufacture and CE mark static mixers and agitators up to and including Category 3 (under Module H) of the regulations.

The coveted PED certification enables Chemineer to significantly reduce delays in seeking PED design approvals on higher category pressure equipment destined for the European Community or EFTA (European Fair Trade Association) countries.

Most equipment in these categories can now be self-certified by Chemineer with only minimal third party involvement, meaning faster turnaround for customers.
