The Chemineer range of static mixers for use in desalination plants provide major benefits for additive injection/chemical dosing applications

The Chemineer range of static mixers for use in desalination plants provide major benefits for additive injection/chemical dosing applications Offering mixers that can be very specifically tailored to meet precise desalination temperature and pressure requirements, the Chemineer WVM (Water Vortex Mixer) presents an opportunity to optimise the mixer length versus mixture quality parameters

Designed with FRP (fibreglass reinforced plastic) housing and polypropylene internals, these Chemineer mixers have a low head loss and an open, non-blocking structure.

The WVM, which has already proved successful at desalination plants in the Middle East, also features a simple, non-intrusive wall additive injection point and a pre-distribution tab.

This improves quantifiable mixture quality by at least 10% - compared to more complex multi-hole sparger injector designs, and also reduces maintenance requirements.

With its test data independently validated, using both CFM (Computational Fluid Mixing) and LIF (Laser Induced Fluorescence) mixture quality measurement techniques by the world renowned BHR Group, the Chemineer WVM also offers greatly improved mixing efficiencies at very low flow rates (0.1 - 0.3 m/sec).
