CH2M Hill, the global full-service engineering, construction and operations firm, has appointed Thomas Searle President and Group Chief Executive for its international business
Last year the CH2M Hill international business grew 40 percent, and strong growth is expected to continue in 2008 In his new role, Searle will lead a group of 4,000 international employees expected to deliver approximately USD1billion in 2008 revenue

Searle is deeply experienced in markets around the globe, including overseeing extensive international work in his prior role as President of the Water Business Group.
These included programme management for a USD2.1 billion water and wastewater system improvement in Puerto Rico, design-build of several water and wastewater treatment plants in New Zealand, and aiding with tsunami recovery efforts in Banda Aceh, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

The CH2M Hill current international projects include: * Programme management for the seven-year, USD5 billion expansion of the Panama Canal.
* Overseeing the design and construction of the venues and infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games as part of the CLM Delivery Partner.
* Providing programme management consulting services for the USD2 billion improvement program for Mumbai airport in India.
* Engineering services for the Southern Seas Desalination Plant in Perth, Australia, which will use "green" energy to supply 20 percent of the Perth water needs.
* Managing a USD10 billion military base relocation programme for the U.S and South Korean governments.
The CH2M Hill international clients include multinationals from the United States, Asia and European multinationals, the U.S government, and government entities around the world.
Robert Bailey will assume Thomas Searle's former role as president of the water group.
Previously Bailey was CH2M Hill regional manager for the Southeastern United States.
