CBA to hold one-day forum on labelling regulations

A Chemical Business Association product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jan 6, 2009

The CBA will hold a one-day conference on regulations on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, on 9 June 2009 at the Ramada Encore Hotel, Crewe, Cheshire.

The European Union will publish new classification, labelling and packaging regulations this year that will eventually repeal the European dangerous substances and preparations directives.

All substances will have to be labelled according to these new regulations by 2010.

The regulations will adopt the United Nations Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

The CBA conference will cover: UN regulations and history, the EU legislative process, labelling, safety data sheets and labelling of packages.

The conference will contain speakers from regulatory bodies and industry.

The conference is open to all manufacturers, distributors and anyone with an interest in the correct CLP of substances and mixtures.

Tickets for the event must be bought in advance.
