Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team May 17, 2006

The chemistry using industries are at the heart of solving many of today's sustainability issues whether we are talking about business performance, the environment or society

The UK has long been admired for its research and invention in science and technology.

Now the Chemistry Innovation KTN builds an effective bridge to its successful industrial exploitation.

Industry will benefit from better links to the supply chain and the academic knowledge base, and early access to emerging technologies.

The chemistry using industries are at the heart of solving many of today's sustainability issues whether we are talking about business performance, the environment or society.

Just three facts: 93% of production materials do not end up in saleable products: 80% of products are discarded after a single use: 99% of materials used in the production of, or contained within, goods are discarded in the first six weeks.

Green chemical technologies are available now to reduce the impact of processes and products whilst providing scope for continuing growth in global wealth and quality of life.

There is a huge market opportunity.

R and D on green chemical technologies is accelerating and businesses need to collaborate with those at the forefront of these technologies in order to achieve innovations that will capture these markets.

We will be running a Green Chemical Technologies theme day on our stand at ACHEMA on Wednesday 17 May.

Come along to meet our team to learn about the latest advances in green product design and sustainable manufacturing.

If you would like to know more about how CI KTN can impact your business or leverage your technical and market capability, contact us in Hall 1.2 at Booth A17 at ACHEMA.
