50,000 cycle leak-tight ball valve service life
The latest Hoke 7 Series zero-leakage ball valves now available from Circor Instrumentation employ energised stem packing technology, extending service life
Statoil, the platform owners, determined that the whole project should have a minimum life span of 25 years, which created significant challenges in design and sourcing of materials and external suppliers.
The IPU solution included a complete system which was fully assembled and ready to use.
All pipe work was fully welded to ASME IX and was in 2inch stainless steel with instrument fittings and valves supplied by Circor Instrumentation.
The system comprised two 500 litre air receivers designed to ASME, U stamped and hot dipped galvanized to provide the required corrosion resistance, and a stainless steel electric control panel.
The compressor has a 30 bar outlet pressure and 16.5m3/hr delivery to fill each receiver in less than an hour.
