Air manifold for safer leak-free performance

A Circor Instrumentation product story

Leak-free and safe air distribution is provided by Hoke 88BA series 8-way manifolds, developed by Circor Instrumentation as a more reliable alternative to traditional designs and using quarter-turn plug valve technology machined into a single block, with 300 psi maximum operating pressure.

With air distribution manifolds historically made using basic components due to their low pressure nature, Hoke sought the alternative design when asked to develop a product that reduced the number of connections, was leak-free after many cycles and could also offer safety features preventing accidental operation.

The 88BA manifold trip-proof valves cannot be accidentally operated or removed, unlike some plug valves designs where removing the handle allows the plug to be pushed out of the body, which can be a safety issue if still under pressure.

They give visual open/closed indication and are colour coordinated in green, which represents air.

There are no welds or screw threads apart from the inlet and outlet connections.

This manifold reduces the overall cost in installation, with low maintenance, eliminated down-time and a long cycle life.

It is already proving ideal in the offshore market.
