Strain gauge amplifiers in cylindrical
packages
The D-Cell Digital Strain Puck is a cost-effective, highly accurate, compact and robust conditioning amplifier allowing a sensor connection to PC or PLC without an expensive A to D card
The D-Cell Digital Strain Puck, available from Celsum Technologies, is a cost-effective, highly accurate, compact and robust conditioning amplifier which will permit a strain gauge device such as a load cell, pressure transducer or torque sensor to be connected to a computer or PLC system without the need for an expensive analogue-to-digital card All that is needed is a 12V DC power supply, and a strain gauge device with an impedance of 320 ohms to 1,200 ohms

CANopen interface for digital strain gauges
The DCell is a digital conditioning amplifier for strain gauge based sensors such as load cells and pressure transducers, now available in a CANopen version for Fieldnet bus communications
In a cylindrical package designed to fit a typical strain gauge pocket, the D-Cell is available with RS485 serial communications with a choice of protocols from ASCII, Modbus, Mantrabus and CANOpen.
The device has an integral temperature sensor, and may be programmed for multi-stage linearity and temperature compensation.
The resolution may be selected from 19 bits (1 part in 500,000) at a speed of 1 reading per second to 15 bits (1 part in 30,000) at 100 Hz, with low noise and high stability.
RS485 versions may be individually addressed on the same bus.
Designed primarily for the OEM market, the D-Cell also provides a ready solution for many research and development applications.
An evaluation kit is available, with a D-Cell of your choice.
The devices carry a three-year manufacturer's warranty, and can normally be delivered from stock. Request a free brochure from Celsum Technologies ...
