Strain Card connects sensors to PC/PLC
directly
The DSC Digital Strain Card is a cost-effective and compact conditioning amplifier which allows a strain gauge device, ie load cell, pressure transducer or torque sensor to be connected to a computer
The DSC Digital Strain Card, available from Celsum Technologies, is a cost-effective, highly accurate, compact and robust conditioning amplifier which will allow a strain gauge device such as a load cell, pressure transducer or torque sensor to be connected to a computer or PLC system without the need for an expensive analogue-to-digital card All that is needed is a 12V DC power supply, and a strain gauge device with an impedance of 320 ohms to 1,200 ohms

New versatile digital strain card range launched
The new generation of the DSC Digital Strain Card is now available from Celsum Technologies, employing surface-mount technology to provide a stable low-cost programmable digital conditioning amplifier
The DSC is available in RS232 and RS485 serial communications formats, with a choice of protocols from ASCII, Modbus, Mantrabus and CANOpen.
The device has an integral temperature sensor, and may be programmed for multi-stage linearity and temperature compensation.
The resolution may be selected from 19 bits (1 part in 500,000) at a speed of 1 reading per second to 15 bits (1 part in 30,000) at 100 Hz, with low noise and high stability.
RS485 versions may be individually addressed on the same bus.
Two easy-wire junction boxes simplify field installation; the DSJ1 will accept one DSC card, and the DSJ4 will accept up to four of the RS485 versions.
An evaluation kit is available, with a DSC of your choice.
The devices carry a three-year manufacturer's warranty, and can normally be delivered from stock. Request a free brochure from Celsum Technologies ...
