The Contrec solution is a very flexible and robust hardware platform that can accept a wide variety of inputs and produce a wide variety of outputs for signal retransmission, alarms and control.
A unique software program has been designed to allow the instrument to be specifically configured for the user application and which can then produce an application specific datasheet, manual and configuration report.
The result is an economically priced intelligent instrument which can be used for fiscal accuracy oil, gas and steam metering; intelligent batch control; ratio blending; energy metering; fuel oil consumption; open channel flow and tank contents indication.
Outputs include two configurable isolated 4 - 20 mA or pulse retransmission signals; four fully assignable alarm relays; three communication ports, RS232, RS485 and IrDA with either ASCII and Modbus protocols.
In addition to the real time display of parameters and totals, the Contrec 500 features an integral 1000 item data-logging facility which provides historic data and a useful back up in the event of a PC, DCS or SCADA communications breakdown.
