Whats in that tank? Picture the scene; it's a big tank farm, it's a hazardous area, we need accurate tank contents gauging with local displays and alarms.

Enter the new Contrec 220 tank contents indicator.

Ideal for use with hydrostatic, ultrasonic and many other level sensors, the 220 features include being 4-20 mA loop powered, minimising cabling costs by sitting on the same IS loop as the level transmitter; 25 point configurable non linear tank correction for those horizontal cylindrical and odd shaped tanks; four open collector configurable alarms; bar graph showing level and clear digital display of contents all wrapped up in a robust IP67 field mounting enclosure.

The four IS open collector alarms can be fed directly to IS annunciators in the hazardous area, or brought back via barriers to the safe area where, with a little relay logic, they can be used for pump control.

Since, in many cases, the 220 can be used with standard low cost loop powered pressure transmitters, the installed cost can be one of the lowest in the market.

The Contrec 220 is just one of a range of intrinsically safe field mounting instruments for process measurement, flow monitoring and batching, or level control.
