(1) Improve the quality and accuracy of your specifications.
(2) Improve the quality of the control system itself.
(3) Ensure that the latest standards are applied.
(4) Reduce your costs, both short term and long term.
Following a Requirement Analysis, the specifications will be produced as S88.01 based Requirements Models.
S88.01 is the international standard for defining the control requirements for batch manufacturing plants.
But it is also used for continuous and discrete processes.
The task can be performed completely by electronic data exchange.
Clients need to supply as a minimum P+ID and some process descriptions, but the more information that is supplied the better.
In turn the specifications will be provided as a ControlDraw model.
Free dedicated software - the ControlDraw Reviewer - will be provided for the purpose of review and approval.
Many projects use the services of a Process Automation supplier for producing these specifications, however this has the problem that the supplier will invariably drive the specification into one that is dependent on their system, and probably their last project.
That is not always to the good.
By retaining independence during the specification stage these suppliers can be obliged to compete, which is one of the first ways that costs will be reduced.
By using a Model-based approach the specifications can be completely checked for consistency and accuracy.
The specifications will be produced in the UK by highly experienced world-class automation engineers.
