Colder Products Company (CPC), the leading provider of controlled performance connections to chemical, microelectronic, biopharmaceutical and laboratory markets, announces the global launch of its ChemQuik series CQG06 coupling for high-purity chemical fluid handling processes.

Manufactured with injection-moulded virgin polypropylene, the CQG06 is an economical connection device for instant, safe, and spill-free disconnections and reconnections.

It can speed installation and servicing times and protect operators from potentially harmful contact with fluids or vapour.

"The CQG06 fulfils the market need for a high-purity, cost-effective connection in applications that do not require the universal chemical compatibility of our CQN Series couplings," said Thomas Braun, Business Manager, Chemical Handling Products, CPC.

"The economical polypropylene CQG06 opens a more diverse range of applications to the key benefits of our ChemQuik line".

The CQG06 has a non-spill, pressure-balanced design allowing for the safe transfer of critical fluids, effectively eliminating chemical contact.

The coupling is available with a physical keying system that offers limitless configurations to prevent accidental misconnections.

The CQG06 unique shut-off valves remove the need to drain lines or vent fumes before servicing equipment.

With its ability to instantly connect and disconnect chemical lines, even under pressure, this new coupling can reduce service time in some applications by up to 75%.

As with all ChemQuik products, the CQG06 is manufactured with virgin materials, has a metal-free flow path, and does not contain lubricants - critical features for high purity applications.

A smooth, spring-free flow path enables rapid fluid transfers by providing the highest flow capacity given the coupling compact size.

The integral Flaretek flare fittings also contribute to its compact dimensions, allowing for easy connection to rigid tubing and eliminating potential leak paths.

NPT terminations are available for universal flexible system connections.

The CQG06 features the exclusive Colder Products thumb latch for a quick, one-handed disconnection with an audible "click" confirming a secure connection.

A complete line of ChemQuik accessories, including dust caps and plugs, panel mount adapters and dual containment fittings, are available for the CQG06 series couplings.

The CQG06 coupling is also compatible for use with the DrumQuik series of dip tubes for IBCs, bottles, or drum connections.

The product can be purchased with several seal options.

Operating pressures range from 0 - 80 psig (0 - 5.5 bar), and operating temperatures range from 32deg to 150deg Fahrenheit (0deg - 66deg Celsius).
